Sustainability strategy
Experience analysing carbon data, building sustainability profiles, and thinking through realistic emissions-reduction opportunities for organisations.
I’m an Environmental Science student at the University of British Columbia, interested in practical climate solutions, marine ecology, biodiversity research, and making sustainability easier to act on.
My work so far has included carbon and sustainability analysis, intertidal biodiversity sampling on the British Columbia coast, environmental student leadership, and climate-focused outreach.
A mix of environmental science, applied research, service work, and communication — useful for internships, research roles, and early-career sustainability opportunities.
Experience analysing carbon data, building sustainability profiles, and thinking through realistic emissions-reduction opportunities for organisations.
Field experience cataloguing intertidal species, applying ecological sampling protocols, and maintaining careful biodiversity records.
Comfortable organising, communicating, and bringing people together around climate action, education, and local sustainability projects.
Selected experience across environmental research, student leadership, sustainability, and public-facing roles.
Supporting student-led sustainability work and environmental science community-building at UBC.
Contributed to association operations, student engagement, and the organisation of environmental science activities.
Analysed multi-year carbon data, helped create a carbon profile, supported sustainability and ESG practices, researched biodiversity, and developed practical recommendations for emissions reduction and project design.
Conducted shoreline surveys of intertidal species, with a focus on marine algae and invertebrates, while strengthening field ecology and data recording skills.
Built practical customer-service, communication, reliability, and team-working skills in a busy public-facing role.
Supported site analysis for active transportation and accessibility projects, while learning how planners use evidence to develop more sustainable places.
Climate work is social as well as scientific. These projects reflect Trini’s interest in education, collaboration, and environmental action.
Co-led the relaunch of a TEDx event themed Cultivating Education, coordinating speakers, logistics, and promotion with an international student team.
Worked with Avon Schools Eco Network and Hayesfield Girls’ School Climate Committee to organise sustainability initiatives, conferences, and youth climate engagement across schools.
Volunteered with Mercy in Action and House of Imagination, gaining hands-on experience in community service, fundraising, creative environmental programming, and public engagement.
Awarded a scholarship through the UWC National Committee of Canada to study the International Baccalaureate at Pearson College UWC. Young Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts since 2024.
Practical skills from fieldwork, analysis, design, events, and interdisciplinary study.
Intertidal biodiversity surveys, marine algae and invertebrate identification, ecological sampling protocols, environmental monitoring, and biodiversity records.
Excel, Google Workspace, biodiversity databases, data consolidation, visualisation for sustainability reports, and carbon footprint analysis.
Fusion 360, SketchUp, TechSoft Design V3, event organisation, collaborative project management, and environmental communications.
Trini is open to opportunities connected to environmental science, sustainability research, biodiversity, marine ecology, climate outreach, and early-career project work.
