Why this exists

Many SMEs are being asked for carbon information before they have the time, tools or confidence to produce it.

Trini helps businesses get from “we should probably measure this” to a usable baseline and a short, honest action plan — without turning the project into a large consultancy exercise.

Productised services

Simple packages with clear outcomes.

Starter

Carbon Snapshot

£350–£500

A light-touch estimate for very small businesses that want to understand their main emissions sources and next steps.

  • Basic data checklist
  • Scope 1 & 2 estimate
  • High-level Scope 3 notes
  • One-page findings summary

For tenders

Client-Ready Carbon Pack

£1,250–£2,000

A more polished pack for businesses responding to client questionnaires, supplier requests or procurement expectations.

  • Baseline and assumptions log
  • Supplier/client summary
  • Carbon reduction narrative
  • Questionnaire support

Method

Remote-first, data-led and honest about assumptions.

The service is designed around the information SMEs usually already have: energy bills, mileage, business travel, waste records, employee commute estimates and purchasing data. Where data is incomplete, assumptions are clearly recorded.

1

Collect bills, records and simple activity data using a clear checklist.

2

Calculate emissions using recognised UK conversion factors and transparent assumptions.

3

Interpret the hotspots and separate material issues from noise.

4

Plan practical actions for the next 12 months, prioritised by impact, ease and cost.

What clients receive

Useful outputs, not just a spreadsheet.

Carbon baseline

A clear estimate of emissions by source, with boundaries and assumptions made explicit.

Hotspot view

A simple breakdown showing where emissions are concentrated and where action is most worthwhile.

Reduction actions

A short list of realistic actions tailored to the business, not generic “go green” advice.

Client summary

A concise, professional summary that can be shared with customers, suppliers or internal teams.

Clear scope

This service is intended to support practical carbon understanding and first-step reduction planning. It is not formal assurance, legal advice, certification, or a guaranteed route to net zero. Reports are based on data supplied by the client and assumptions agreed during the project.
